At this time, some of us start thinking about Christmas, summer holidays, kids concerts, church carols, and gift purchasing, and for others; things are just too frantic we can’t possibly think of any of that right now!.

If you are like me, we are the latter group. Thankfully, we are not alone. In his blog entrepreneur Justin Jackson reports that his company’s “Slack channel” (internal communications) is filled with confessions of employees who are struggling to muster the motivation to get much done.

But is it inevitable that we will end our year with a whimper instead of a bang? Or is there something we can all do to get the most out of this last quarter?

As we look forward to the last quarter there are a few things we can focus on to finish well.

1. FINISH ONE PROJECT
Most of us are not going to complete everything we dreamed of this year. But what is the one thing you must do before the year ends? Write it down, focus some time and energy on it so you can achieve it.

2. WRITE A MINI YEAR REVIEW
Take out a notepad, and write:

  • “What are the three things I’m thankful for this year?” In short form, list 3 things.

Under that, ask yourself:

  • “What are three things I’d like to improve next year?” Write some ideas for 2019.

3. DO ONE THING TO PREPARE FOR 2019
Now is a good time to connect with your coach and share your year-in-review. Let them walk you through a process that you can take into 2019. Need to find a coach? Just reply to this email and we can get you connected with a great coach (or read our blog on finding a great coach)
