Emerging Leaders Program

Shaping and equipping Australia’s most promising church leaders led more by Jesus, lead more like Jesus and lead more to Jesus.

The Emerging Leaders Program is specifically designed to identify and develop the most promising Christian leaders for 2035 and beyond.

Arrow’s Emerging Leaders Program is for leaders aged 25 – 40, who stand out not only for their potential but as those who lead with conviction, innovation, faith and integrity.

This invitation-only program offers a unique combination of transformative leadership training and Christ-centred formation, shaping and equipping participants to navigate complex challenges with resilience and integrity.

The Emerging Leaders Program exists to shape and strengthen a generation of Christian leaders. It equips leaders with the skills, resilience, and Christ-centred foundation they need to face complex challenges with confidence and to spark real, transformative change in their churches, communities, and beyond.

The Why

Christian leaders face complex challenges in today’s world, from navigating cultural change to leading in demanding workplaces and ministries. Too often, leaders feel stretched thin, uncertain, or isolated as they step into significant responsibility.

The Emerging Leaders Program exists to transform the leadership journey of these women and men by grounding them deeply in Jesus and equipping them for sustainable, long-term impact.

Arrow Leadership does not accept unsolicited applications for the Emerging Leaders Program. If you are interested to know more about our programs, you can express interest by contacting our team at info@arrowleadership.org.au

The Experience

Learn in Community

Arrow isn’t just about content, it’s about people. You’ll journey with a cohort of peers who share your heart to grow as Christ-centred leaders. Together you’ll learn, reflect, and encourage one another, building friendships that will last well beyond the program.

Three In-Person Residential Retreats

Gather with your cohort for three immersive, multi-day retreats in inspiring locations around Australia.

Retreats are a cornerstone of the program, creating space for deep learning, personal reflection, spiritual formation, and life-giving community.

Each retreat combines high-calibre teaching, leadership coaching, worship, and time to rest and reset.

Interactive Online Sessions

Stay connected between residentials through facilitated online sessions.

These sessions reinforce and build on retreat learning, explore key leadership themes, and keep your cohort connected.

They’re designed to be practical, engaging, and achievable in the rhythm of busy leadership life.

Reading Rooms with Global Thought Leaders

Engage with a curated reading program featuring books and articles from the best thinkers in leadership and faith.

Discussions are interactive and often include input from the authors themselves or leading practitioners.

Expect to have your thinking sharpened and your leadership stretched by global perspectives.

Arrow-Trained Leadership Partner

Be paired with an experienced, Arrow-trained Leadership Partner who will walk with you throughout the program.

They’ll provide encouragement, accountability, and a safe space for reflection.

This 1:1 relationship helps you apply learning directly to your own context and calling.

Peer Learning Groups

Meet regularly in a small group with peers from similar ministry or leadership contexts.

These groups foster honest conversations, shared wisdom, and mutual encouragement.

Peer learning is a vital part of Arrow’s DNA, leaders learning from and supporting one another.

Tailored Leadership Development

The program isn’t one-size-fits-all. You’ll explore your unique leadership strengths, challenges, and growth areas.

Coaching, tools, and feedback help shape your journey to suit your context and calling.

You’ll leave better equipped, more resilient, and with clarity about your next steps as a leader.

Spiritual Formation

Throughout the program, you’ll be invited to grow in your spiritual disciplines and deepen your relationship with Jesus.

Evening speakers, guided worship, and times of prayer bring inspiration and fresh perspective.

At the core of it all: learning to be led more by Jesus, lead more like Jesus and lead more to Jesus.

Arrow has been in an incredibly impacting experience for me, and a catalyst to deeply explore the kind of leader I want to increasingly become in the years ahead.

Arrow has facilitated learning from an amazing array of Christian thought-leaders and practitioners, whose expertise, wisdom and experience has accelerated my growth as a leader and will continue to shape my effectiveness in leadership long into the future.

Through the program I have felt my heart and soul as a leader be enriched, encouraged and enlarged through the inspiring worship, testimony, prayer and cohort community.

Ultimately, Arrow has helped me to find a greater clarity and a greater confidence in my leadership, gifting and calling. As a result, myself, my family and my church are already experiencing the positive impact Arrow has made and will continue to make long after the completion of the program.

Overall, the Arrow investment into my ongoing formation as a leader has felt invaluable, and is an opportunity I would highly recommend to any leader looking to make an impact in the lives of others.

Travis Ryan (Arrow 30)

Senior Pastor, Narara Valley Baptist Church, NSW

Arrow was an opportunity for me to grow deeper in my understanding of myself, my place within my current context, and the role of faith and Christianity in today’s social climate.

Arrow has shone a light on the aspects of myself requiring investment and has encouraged me to embrace the type of leader I was created to be.

The exceptional input from many well respected members of the Christian community has been formative in the development of my leadership throughout my time with Arrow, and the excellent Bible teaching, worship and investment in prayer has been both encouraging and inspiring.

Arrow is an excellent program for those who are in the early years of leadership development and are looking to grow in their confidence and leadership abilities within a ministry context.
